From the Mountains to the Beach to the Bayou

I have been a slacker with blogging, so I apologize. We have a lot to catch-up on! Phew! We have been pretty busy with my job starting back, having tons of wonderful help from the grandmothers, and traveling all over the place. I think the pictures tell the story best:

Random pictures of James being a cute, little stinker

He likes to play with his tongue

Hey Mom!

Ryan reading to James

James and his beautiful Mia!
We decided to not take James to the "Mother's Day Out" program here because we are softies. While we looked for someone to come and keep James, Cindy and my mom both came to help us out. It was a huge blessing, and James loved it!

Growing like a weed!

Can you tell I am obsessed? My phone is now literally full of James pictures.

James at his 4 month check-up. Can you tell he loves his feet?

My mom was able to go with us for the check-up, and it was so nice to have her there. James was also a trooper for his shots; he only cried at the last minute when he felt the medicine.

He is such a sweet, sweet baby

James is saying "Who me?"

James and his hard-working Gigi! They are so cute!

He loves his bath time

We were able to have a night out on the town, and it was so much fun!

Ryan's parents bought a beautiful mountain house in the mountains of North Georgia in Morganton. We went there to check it out and also to surprise Cindy for her birthday! It was wonderful to see everyone, and it is absolutely gorgeous. Here are some pictures from the deck overlooking the mountains:

Sunrise. It feels like you are up in the trees.

Beautiful Keen family missing Ben

Happy birthday Cindy/Mia!

Not really sure what is going on here, but I am sure Ryan is acting crazy

Beautiful deck overlooking the mountains

hahaha James wasn't ready. #reallife

That's more like it. James loves his Aunt MaryAnn so much.

We then drove from North Georgia to Blue Mountain Beach, Florida to meet my parents at the beach.

James is happy to be out of the car and his carseat

Ryan had a blast fishing.

I had a blast getting a tan.

My dad and Ryan rented a kayak to fish. Ryan saw a HUGE sea turtle, a stingray, sharks, and tons of colorful fish. He also caught tons of bate fish, a "lady-finger" fish, and a small shark which was swimming way to close to the shore.

Beach baby

It was so nice going to the beach with my parents because they made sure that we had lots of fun while they took care of James. It was a definite vacation, and it was so nice to be back at the beach.

Lounging. It's a rough life.

James turned twenty-weeks-old while we were at the beach, so he had to show off his swimwear, naturally.

Here is the shark that Ryan caught...

I don't think I could have picked that thing up

Obligatory beach family photo

We then traveled to Monroe, Louisiana a.k.a. "Funroe" sans James for the beautiful wedding of Aaron and Lauren De Witt. This was our first time without James overnight. It was nice to just be a couple again, but we sure did miss our little boy.

The wedding and reception were just gorgeous

We got to see a few of our friends that went to medical school with Ryan in St. Maarten. It was so nice to all get together again!

Such a fun night

Then, we finally made it back home safe and sound to North Augusta, SC.

"No more pictures, please!"

Not sure if the video works, but James loves his "Johnny-Jump-Up." He hasn't quite got the bouncing thing figured out yet, but he is so close!

That's all for now folks!
