7 Months and Counting

Things have been going great, and it is hard to believe that it is already the middle of November! Here are some pictures of what has been going on with us:

Ryan presenting research at the American College of Physicians convention

One of the rare occasions of James being bad. I took him for a walk, and he was so fussy! I had to take him out of his stroller, push the stroller, and hold him while I walked the rest of the walking track. I was so mad that I had to capture this moment. Note his smile. I was not a happy camper.

No teeth... yet in this picture

We had an awesome Halloween, despite James getting sweaty in his monkey suit.

Our beloved Ms. Dianne, a.k.a. James's Grammy. Without her, there is no way that I could work. James just adores her, and we love her very much!

One of my very best friends from home, Elizabeth Weissinger, came to visit us in Augusta!

James loved having his Aunt Wizzie here!

We drove to North Georgia to meet another one of my very best friends from home, Chelsea Emerson. We had a fantastic weekend together, and James got to go hang out with the Keens!

We did a wine tasting, and it was awesome!

I got lots of updates on James, so naturally- I saved all of the pictures!

I love his grumpy face here! He wasn't a fan of the hat :)

I got James this adorable teddy-bear hat, and he wasn't sure of it either. haha! He is going to be so embarrassed when I show these pictures off when he is a teenager.

Our big boy is 7 months old!

I had a little fun with this picture... woops

"Hey, how did I get stuck under here?"

Not sure if you can see them, but James has 2 new bottom teeth! It has been impossible to try to get a picture of them so far, but I will keep trying. In other news, James is very close to learning to crawl! Everything is happening so fast! Time needs to slow down!

Happy half-birthday to James!

This month has flown by.. as always. It is hard to believe that James is now 6 months old! Life has been busy but great; James has been busy being adorable and growing before our eyes. Here are some pictures of what's been going on:

James playing with our sweet neighbor, Eli

Eli loves "Baby James." It is so sweet to hear him say his name!

Loves his monster pajamas!

Just hanging around

Watching the Ole Miss game

This picture was taken to prove that James is not always completely happy. He gets mad when you try to make him crawl.. sigh.. we are working on it

Chillin' in his chair

Doing the splits

I have a little too much fun with snapchat sometimes

"Mia" and James

It's always so nice when we can all get together!

James got to sit up in the grocery cart all by himself, and he was the star of Kroger. He loved looking at everything and tried to grab anything within his reach. He made lots of friends that day :)

Preacher James

Here is the official 6 month picture! Here is what he is doing now:

Babbling and saying "dada" and "hey" (but it sounds more like "A" as in the letter)
Sitting up by himself with some assistance (so he doesn't hit his head if he falls backwards)
Can stand up when you hold on to his fingers and he looks very proud of himself
Weighs almost 17 pounds and is 27 inches long. His weight percentile has increased and his height percentile shot up in the last two months! Looks like he may take after his daddy!
He loves to eat, and he especially loves squash and green beans baby food.
Loves attention and will fuss until you look and talk to him (We've created a monster- a cute monster though!)
Loves to be sung to, and he especially loves "5 Little Monkeys" and "The Wheels on the Bus"
He loves to jump in his "Johnny Jump-Up" and he has gotten quite good at it
Still loves to go outside and puts everything in his mouth. (I keep expecting teeth any day now)
He is very social and smiles at anyone and everyone!

As you can tell, we are very proud and slightly obsessed :)

Our sweet neighbors, Eli and Jewels, gave us their exersaucer that they outgrew, and James thinks its wonderful (and Mommy does too).

We went and picked out pumpkins here in North Augusta:

It's pretty crazy that it was about this time last year that we told everyone about our little pumpkin that we would be adding to our patch.. and now we have our wonderful pumpkin!

In the waiting room for our 6 month check-up. I meant to get a picture of James getting weighed and measured but he was throwing a fit.. so we had to go fast. Oh well.

Uncle Gary and Aunt Laury came to visit us and see James. It was so great to see them!

And that brings us up-to-date to today where James is twenty-seven weeks old! Hard to believe our little baby is growing up so fast, but it has been a blast. Each developmental milestone is so fun, and I find myself thinking that I love each month better than the last. I think they are all wonderful honestly, and I am just trying to enjoy each moment as they come. He is such a blessing, and it's hard to remember what life was like without James.
