Ryan is the big 3-0!

Everything is going great here, and we are just chugging along. Here are some updates of what has happened over the past few weeks:

Ryan turned the dirty 30, and I, along with Randy and Cindy's tremendous help, threw Ryan a surprise birthday party in Atlanta. Ryan was able to get a weekend off, which doesn't happen very often. We left after work on a Friday afternoon and drove to Jonesboro, GA. We walked in the house, and everything seemed normal. Little did Ryan know, but everyone was hiding in the next room. Ryan had to use the restroom, so we all took the opportunity to jump out afterwards. Here is an awesome video that his brother, Ben, took that shows how it went down:

Here are some pictures that Randy was able to take of us at the party:

Open your eyes Ben!

It was a great night, and I am so thankful for everyone that came for Ryan! He didn't have a clue that we were doing anything for him, and you all made it really special for him!

Here are a couple of random pictures from the rest of the weekend:

MaryAnn, Anna, Austin, and I went and had a "snack" of cheese dip and guac.. why not?

In baby news...

Here I am getting bigger and bigger:

I have also been working on a little DIY project for James's room. I found some cheap furniture on craigslist, and I was able to turn it into something pretty cute. See what you think:

Here they are after one coat of Farmhouse paint. It is like Chalk paint, but it doesn't require any last waxing steps. It was pretty awesome, I must say.

Not too bad, eh?

Here are the finished products: Voila!
I think they turned out pretty well, don't you?

Maybe I should open up a side business.. just kidding

More pictures to come of our developing nursery. We got our crib in yesterday (Thanks Mom and Dad!!!), and I also got a huge map to go on the wall behind it. I will keep you posted shortly!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day, President's Day, and Mardi Gras!
